Symptoms of eczema are different for each person. There are many common symptoms though that occur in most cases. The most common symptom is itching. This is also usually the firs sign that there is a flare up of eczema. Other symptoms include: dry, sensitive skin; red, inflamed skin; scaly areas, oozing or crusting; swelling; or recurring rash. Not all of these symptoms may occur in every person. They may not even occur every time there is a flare up of eczema. Symptoms can vary depending on what area of the body the eczema is located and the severity or area coverage of the eczema patches.
